Food & Drink

Some of my local favorite places to eat and drink.

Sweet Action Ice Cream

Fantastic vegan ice cream!  Everything is made in small batches including seasonal flavors and the menu changes at least weekly.

Manna Bakery & Deli

A great lunch stop in Littleton for a sandwich or wrap and some delectable pies and cupcakes.  You have to try the Peach Cobbler pie; just do it.

In-Tea

Great tea shop in downtown Littleton with literally a wall of choices.  They even have Tea Cocktails in the evenings.

Try the Mate Siciliana or the Vanilla-Coconut.

Yelp Reviews

Sushi Kazu

My favorite Sushi place in the South Metro area.  Great food, good value, happy to customize, and not an hour or more wait like Sushi Den in Denver.

Just FYI, the rolls are a bit on the big side, great for value, but a little messy.

Winchell’s Donut House

Awesome traditional and seasonal donuts, open 24 hours.  No, they aren’t the super crazy, 4 flavor, gourmet $5 donuts.  These are your “place around the corner”, cheap, after church donuts: the classics.

The French Press

Great bakery & cafe for Breakfast, Lunch, or Brunch.  Always busy, and sodas for lunch are only $1.

Yelp Reviews

Duffeyroll Cafe

Multiple locations, famous in the metro for awesome cinnamon rolls.  More like a flaky pastry cinnamon roll (not a yeasty bread type).  Try the Zesty Orange!  So good!

High Point Creamery

I really like my sweets; can you tell?  A great place with some super tasty coconut based (vegan) options.  They often have Tea&Cookie flavored ice cream combos like Chai & Gingerbread, but the Coconute Creme Brulee is my go-to fave here.

They even offer ice cream flights to try lots of flavors in one stop!

Yelp Reviews

Imagirifik

Great place to take the kiddos for ice creams, snacks, or treats, AND get some energy out.  They have an indoor play area as well as an outdoor one.  They sell ice cream from Lik’s, which is another great local ice cream shop but is much further away in Denver.

Entenmann’s-Oroweat
Bakery Outlet

A lot of people don’t even know about this place, but it is the best place to get cheap, fresh bread.  It’s attached to the bakery so no drying out during transport.  Best place for fresh bagels, english muffins and basic bread/buns.

La Calle Taqueria

If you want good Tacos, west Denver is where it’s at.  La Calle is my go-to taco stop and I always get the Gringas and an Horchata.  So yummy!  El Trompo, Al Pastor, Menudo, they have it all.  It’s a small place, but it’s a bright orange and blue building, so keep an eye out for it.

English Tealeaves

A bit hidden, down in Parker.  Great traditional English teas, sandwiches, scones, and pies.  Perfect for brunch or a Tea Party.  They also sell their loose leaf teas to takes home!
